Taco is responsible for General Management and Business Development at BroadForward. He has over 20 years of international experience in the telecommunications sector providing high revenue generating solutions for 8 out of the 10 largest mobile operators in the world. He has held various senior roles, including general management, sales, business development and marketing. Before joining BroadForward he worked many years at Acision, at the time the world leader in SMS and mobile data, as Head of Messaging.
Steven van Zanen
Steven is responsible for Product Management and Marketing at BroadForward. He comes with extensive experience in the telecommunications industry, having led multiple innovations in areas such as signaling interworking, mobile broadband, messaging and advertising. Over 20 years, he has worked with the largest operators in the world and partnered with many leading technology partners and product vendors. He is well known to the press and media. Before joining BroadForward he held several senior management positions including Head of Mobile Broadband and SVP Strategy and Marketing at Acision.
Robert Groenenberg
Robert is responsible for development, product architecture and technology roadmap at BroadForward. Robert has extensive experience in development of high-performance carrier-grade software products for mobile networks. Robert has held various senior R&D development roles at international telecom equipment vendors, including Tekelec and Lucent Technologies. Robert brings over 20 years of experience in telecoms product development in the areas of messaging, routing and gateway products built and supported for mobile operator networks globally.
Erwin Schouten
Erwin heads up R&D. He has worked with startups and specialists such as mBlance, Tekelec, and Nortel. He has gained deep experience developing carrier-grade software and mission-critical systems for large-scale networks. He spent over 12 years in fintech, progressing from Developer to Engineering Manager, where he focused on building resilient platforms and leading high-performing development and DevOps teams. Most recently, he managed an NGO technology team, creating a remote, self-organizing unit and collaborating with nearshore and offshore partners. His leadership emphasizes technical excellence, collaboration, and enabling teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
Sjoerd Somsen
Sjoerd is responsible for Operations at BroadForward. For over 20 years Sjoerd has been responsible for deploying, integrating and supporting high-performance core network functions at mobile operators globally. He has worked as operations engineer at leading vendors such as CMG and Acision before joining BroadForward over 10 years ago. He is known for his outstanding product, platform and network expertise.
